Employing approximately 2,600 staff, NHS Lothian provides a comprehensive range of primary, community-based and acute hospital services for the populations of Edinburgh, Midlothian, East Lothian and West Lothian and is a national centre of expertise for some specialties provided to people across Scotland.

With a proven track record of delivering annual painting and decorating projects across the health sector, we were very pleased to secure in 2019 a 4-year contract to redecorate NHS Lothian. Following extensive meetings and planning with the NHS Lothian Estates Department responsible for the planned maintenance of approximately 150 properties, including six main hospitals, we established a dedicated and highly NHS experienced painting team. Our commitment to direct and local employment ensures consistency in service delivery while achieving he highest standards of quality.
Working closely with the NHS Estates Department and the Charge Nurse at each location, we hold regular meetings to discuss all aspects of the project to ensure minimal impact on the patients and hospital staff, including the use of totally odourless and quick drying products that can be used where essential maintenance is needed.
Through extensive quality inspections and reviews, including KPI feedback, we are achieving a very high-quality standard as required by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) including the assessment of infection risk. We adopt a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness at all stages of our delivery to the complete satisfaction of the NHS staff.
The decorations are being competed to an extremely high standard and within budget to the total satisfaction of the NHS Lothian’s staff and Estates Department.
