In 2018, we were very pleased to secure a prestigious fire improvement contract with Camden Council via Morgan Sindall Property Services to fully redecorate over 140 high-rise and low-rise blocks of flats, including various tower blocks from 13-storeys up to 26-storeys high. The full scope of works also included fire door set replacement, new stairwell fire screens, fire stopping, new intumescent fire seals, new fire signage and fire proofed meter/electrical boxes.

Scope of Works

  • Class 0 and EN Class B flame retardant coatings
  • Fire stopping, intumescent fire seals
  • Fire door set replacement, stairwell fire screens
  • Fire signage, fire proofed meter and electrical boxes

Duration

Trident has a proven track record of delivering Class 0 and EN Class B fire retardant coating systems and fire upgrades, combined with estate improvement projects across the facilities management sector, demonstrating to our client that we were the right people for the job.

To achieve the contract objectives, we worked in partnership with Crown Paints using their Timonox Flame Retardant Coatings range as a crucial first line of defence against the spread of flame. All operatives allocated to the contract were fully trained in the application of the product to ensure full compliance and correct application.

Key to the success of the contract was to keep the tenants fully informed of progress throughout the works. Using trained Liaison Officers, regular meetings, mailshots and site noticeboards, the tenants were advised of each day’s activity together with all project updates and amendments as necessary. The fire improvement works were completed during 2019 to a very high standard, within budget and to the total satisfaction of the client.
