Part of the Riverside Group, we are delivering internal and external decorating and associated prior to paint repairs to Irvine Housing Association’s portfolio of housing properties. There are between 3-6 directly employed and local Trident operatives on-site throughout the contract, with an additional 50% of operatives inducted into the contract to ensure that we can immediately increase resource to accelerate programme when required, i.e., to address delays following periods of inclement weather.
We have recently carried out external decoration to a large development that housed a predominantly older age group of tenants. Following consultation with the client and with our extensive experience working within these environments, we recommended that all paint products used should be quick-drying and low odour to enable tenants to use the decorated areas again as normal as soon as possible, therefore minimising disruption.
Communication is maintained throughout the contract through pre-start meetings, site meetings, formal progress/review meetings, email and telephone, as well as through Irvine’s internal management system ‘iplanned’ which we are required to update as works progress.
Tenant notification letters are sent to tenants one week before commencement advising the scope of works, start date and estimated completion dates. Our Site Supervisor then visits each property shortly before works commence to further advise tenants of the works and timescales to ensure full understanding and a comprehensive communication process that contributes to high levels of tenant satisfaction.
