We were pleased to secure this contract with the Hard Day’s Night Hotel, which is the world’s only Beatles inspired hotel, housed in the magnificent Grade II listed Central Building in Liverpool, in the bustling Cavern Quarter. The hotel dates all the way back to 1884 and is steeped in history.
10 Weeks
We were appointed to carry out internal redecorations to bedrooms, corridors and communal spaces, as well as new carpeting and hanging new curtains and drapes. We supplied a team of four highly skilled painters who were experienced in delivering a range of complex painting projects, including within Grade II listed and conservation buildings.
Working in teams of two, each room was carefully coordinated to limit the time that each room would be out of use to the public. All 110 rooms are individually designed around the contours of the original building and furnished with specially commissioned Beatles inspired artwork adorning the walls. We therefore completed the works to the very highest standards of quality with complete attention to detail paid to every room. We paid particular attention to the protection of iconic furniture, pictures and curtains.
The hotel remained open and fully operational as the works progressed, which required complete coordination with the hotel management team with regular meetings and reviews, and ensuring that noise and disturbance was kept to an absolute minimum so as not to impact on the enjoyment of the guests.
We and the hotel were so pleased with the finished product that the project has been submitted to the Painting and Decorating Association for the Premier Trophy Awards for recognition of outstanding quality.
