We were pleased to secure this 7-year contract with Fareham Borough Council which is seeing us deliver internal and external painting and associated prior to paint repairs to both their portfolio of social housing properties and their non-domestic properties.
We have recently completed the redecoration of the main reception area at Fareham Civic Offices, home to the main administrative functions of the Council. We agreed to complete the works over weekends to reduce disruption during weekday opening hours. There was a lot of preparation work needed to achieve a high-quality finish; as the central hub where all the councillors work, it is important to make a good impression on arrival.
Internally across the contract, we are using specialist scrubbable finishes to help increase the maintenance lifecycle and therefore reducing on-going maintenance costs for the Council. We are also using water-based, quick-drying and low odour gloss paints which allows the paint to dry quicker and so enabling building users to use the areas again as soon as possible, therefore minimising levels of disruption caused.
Externally, our knowledge and experience has enabled us to use alternative forms of access (ladders and MEWPs) which is not only maintaining customer safety and security, but also significantly reducing client costs. All allocated operatives have received formal working at height, PASMA and IPAF training with updates as and when required.
